We are so lucky to be situated in an area with so much for families to do, regardless of what the British weather decides to throw at us. Here are some of our top picks this Summer Holiday:
The UK's largest Zoo, is located just 15 mins from the farm. Beano goes wild at Whipsnade Zoo this Summer, with a new trail perfect to keep the kids busy. They are also hosting extended opening hours on Summer Saturdays, so you can experience the Zoo after closing time.
Until 31 August, children get free entry to the house and grounds at Waddesdon. As well as the gardens and playgrounds to explore, throughout the Summer Holidays there are a range of fun activities including Circus workshops, Shed of stories, Archery and Climbing Wall.
Just 10 minutes from Town Farm, Mead Open Farm is hosting a Summer Spectacular with Zorbing and Foam Parties. They have a fantastic indoor play barn perfect for rainy days as well as plenty of undercover animal barns with hands-on activities for kids.

The stunning Ashridge Gardens are playing host to a new Sculpture trail with impressive sculptures by well known artists. Combine with a visit to their excellent cafe 'The Bakehouse'.
The Museum is free to enter and a great option for a rainy day. On selected dates in August, pay £2 to discover their insect and minibeast collection and create your own minibeast to take home.
On selected dates, children can meet their favourite characters, from Hey Dugee, CoComelon, The Minions, Peppa Pig or Sonic the Hedgehog included in their park ticket. The Safari Park is another great rainy day option!
Open throughout the Summer months, kids will love exploring and picking their own fresh fruit and veg. Just 3 mins drive from the farm and entry is free. Just weigh and pay for what you pick as you leave. Don't forget to bring your reusable bags.
In Ivinghoe village, Ford End Watermill dates back to 1616 and is the only remaining Watermill in Buckinghamshire. See their website for opening dates and times.
If you don't feel like straying far from your pitch, we have plenty to keep the kids occupied on site too. There are two play areas, including our brand new adventure playground and a play trail, football goals and if the weather takes a turn, our Games Room is great fun with Table Tennis and Table Football.
